How do I use the North Pocono Help Desk?
The objective of this video is not only to get you signed into the North Pocono Help Desk system, but to also acquaint you with the features of the Help Desk as well.
The help desk is a site that accomplishes three things:
- It lets you find answers to common questions and training videos.
- It lets you create tickets (ask for help or answers).
- It lets you manage your existing tickets (who is assigned to work on it, questions that have been asked of you regarding the problem, status of the request, whether we are waiting for parts, etc.).
Now for the nuts and bolts of getting into the help desk and accessing its features.
1. To login to the help desk, you should be using Chrome and be signed into the browser with "Sync On." If you are using a Chromebook and you are signed into the Chromebook with your North Pocono account, you are ready to go. If you are using a Windows or Mac (or even Linux) computer, and you don't know how to sign into Chrome and turn "Sync On," you can watch the video for how to do that found here:

You don't need to type this...the link is in the video description below.
2. Once you are signed into the Chrome browser with your npsd.org account, you can go to the helpdesk either by clicking the link for the Help Desk on the Programs page of the Intranet, or by simply typing helpdesk.npsd.org in your Chrome address bar.
3. On the Help Desk main page, you will see a black bar along the top of the page. On the far right of that bar, you'll see a blue button that says "New ticket." To the left of that button, you will either see "Login to check your tickets" or a square with your initials. If you see your initials, you're logged in already. If you see "Login to check your tickets," you're not logged in, so you should click "Login to check your tickets." It will take you to a login screen that has a button labeled "Login with Google." Click that button. You will return to the Help Desk main page, but now, you're logged in.
4. Now that you're logged into the Help Desk, you will see a large white bar that allows you to search the knowledge base for answers, explanations, and video training for the most common questions. You will also see, in a gray box, links to the Knowledge Base's featured answers and videos. You simply click the links to view.
5. To create a new ticket, you can, as always, send an E-mail to helpdesk@npsd.org. As an alternative, you can click the blue button in the upper right to create a new ticket.
6. To manage/view your existing tickets, you can click on your initials in the black bar at the top of the screen. A menu will pull down, and you can click "My Tickets."
